The Used - a band of talent in different time

Directly from Orem, Utah, the alternative rock band called The Used has left its mark in public with some albums and music videos released under Reprise Records. With songs like "a box full of sharp objects" and "The Bird and the Worm", the band has established itself as a lively band. With a follow-up active since 2001 (and still going strong), The Used do a musical history that began in the mid 90s.

Brief History of the Group

During 'The mid-1990s, The Used was in his early days as a local band called Froglick known. At this time, Brenden Steineckert (founding member and drummer) with Quinn Allman (guitar) and Jeph Howard (bass) activities. It was agreed that early full-time singer and front man would be necessary to increase the popularity of the band. The hearings are held, but a member was not found suitable. At the suggestion of Allman, a school friend (Bert McCracken) was asked to join and be happyaccepted.

The group began recording some demos and keep a handful of local shows. The Used was published in 2003 a CD and DVD combo package titled "Maybe Memories". Live, unedited andDemo works have been cited as a band-history, player bios and fragments of live concert. Platinum status for sales followed. In 2004 the band released their second album entitled "In Love and Death." A series of personal tragedies suffered by lead singer McCracken led the themes, topics, and the songwriting of the album. The album's title track and "Hard to Say", paid tribute to his girlfriend pregnant has lost overdose. In Love and War "was the second platinum groupVenture, selling over three million copies.

The future of The Used includes an additional CD and DVD and some dates. A new album is set for a 2007 release, the group is their new drummer Dan Whitesides setting.

Current members

Currently, The Used's Bert McCracken (vocals, piano), Quinn Allman (guitar, vocals), Jeph Howard (bass and vocals) and Dan Whitesides (drums). In the past, the group has also worked withother musicians, including Greg Best, who served as tour guitarist in the early 2000s. Above all it was Branden Steineckert, voice and drums played backup on the condition that the group began in summer 2006.

Songs and music services

The Used released their first full-length album, which in turn was named in 2002. Public acceptance for the new group, and have enjoyed a lot of initial success.
